Transformation of the Foreign Food, when it arrives in Japan

[Bills, originally from Australia]

I was sooo surprised when I had the pancake from Bills, Omotesando-Tokyo, Japan. Why? It taste completely different from the one I had in Australia.

What is the difference?

1) Texture of the Pancake

Japan: Soft, fluffy, more cheesey,

Australia: Firmer, Same size, but feels bigger portion

FYI, it depends on the person in terms of which one is tastier. Personally, I liked the Australian one because I felt like I ate a lot. But in Japan, fluffier ones are currently popular. And as it becomes popular, it is amazing how you feel the portion is melting inside your mouth. Despite the size, you can easily eat the whole plate by yourself.

2) Another difference is the variety of dishes, especially drink.

Bills are located in 2 places in Sydney, Australia. Both locations, the Bills isnt as big as the one in Tokyo. Despite its the origin, the variety of dishes and drinks are far less in Australia compared to the one in Japan.

Similarity

However, the scramble egg (the reason Bills is popular) reminds the same. I think both of them have a similar taste.  As well, both coffee (flat white) are tasty with a nice aroma.

In conclusion, either way, I loved the pancake in Bills. In Australia, I found Bills provided the best pancake. In Japan, there are so many good pancakes, Bills reminds one of the top. Perhaps because I care more of the pancake itself rather than the whip creams and other decorations. After you read this, I hope you try and let me know your thoughts :)
